Hale Honu (“Home of the Turtle”) is a new vacation home in Pauoa Beach Estate at Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. The home is just 30 minutes from Kona airport, served by direct flights from the mainland.

The home sits in a one-acre setting of natural beauty. The scent of tropical flowers and the sounds of birds fill the air. The magnificent views showcase the azure waters of the Pacific. You can watch whales breaching in season and view five mountains from the property.

Hale Honu offers private, tropical luxury living at its best. The home covers over 5000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor living areas. Exquisite furnishings and appointments abound. Much of the furniture was imported directly from Bali.

The Great Room presents views of the ocean and Haleakala on Maui. The room incorporates a 55” HDTV and surround-sound system, a bar with a wine-cooler, and a formal dining area. Wall-to-wall sliding doors open to an expansive covered lanai with comfortable seating, refrigerator, gas BBQ, and outdoor dining table.

The well-equipped, gourmet kitchen is fitted with Dacor and Sub Zero appliances. The breakfast alcove displays a lovely vista of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.

The Grand Master Suite features ocean views, trellised lanai, and TV-DVD. It includes a separate dressing room with vanity console and walk-in closet. The bathroom amenities include a large bathtub, double shower, and a private garden courtyard for showering under the sky.

The Guest Master Suite also offers ocean views, trellised lanai, TV-DVD, walk-in closet, and vanity console. The bathroom includes a bathtub, shower, and outdoor shower courtyard.

A detached Guest Cottage provides a private third suite. The cottage is equipped with a double or twin beds, rocking chair, refrigerator, bar, TV-DVD, shower, and private shower courtyard. The trellised lanai captures mountain views of Kohala, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai.

The home has air conditioning throughout, cable TV and free broadband or wireless Internet access.

Beyond the spacious lanai is a Jacuzzi spa, infinity swimming pool with lounge-chair platform, fire pit and tiki torches. A gate leads across the estate to a white sand beach and swimming lagoon

Guests of Hale Honu have access to the private Pauoa Beach Club described below.

Two award-winning, 18-hole golf courses are located nearby on the resort. A selection of restaurants and shops like Tommy Bahamas and Starbucks are within easy walking distance.

Pauoa Beach Estate

Golf

The two championship golf courses meander through lava fields and kiawe forests revealing panoramic views of the ocean. The courses are home to a pro golf academy. The famed signature 15^th hole of the South Course over the crashing surf is one of the most photographed in the world.

Distinguished as a top tennis resort, the Mauna Lani Racket and Fitness Club has six Plexiplane courts and a stadium court. It contains an extensive cardio-training circuit and a separate weights room to supplement the private workout facilities of Pauoa Beach.
